AI-Powered Cyber Fortress

Enterprise-level threats.
Enterprise-level protection.
Finally accessible to everyone who needs it.

LibertyShield Cybersecurity delivers research-backed, AI-driven security operations to mid-market organizations in critical sectors — the ones that have always been targeted like enterprises but never protected like one.

"The regional hospital, the energy supplier, the financial institution serving a small city — they are targeted just like the largest enterprises. They should not have to defend themselves alone."

LibertyShield was founded on a simple observation: the organizations that keep American communities running — hospitals, utilities, local financial institutions — have always faced the same digital threats as Fortune 500 companies. But the security infrastructure designed to protect them was built for organizations ten times their size.

We exist to close that gap. Not with scaled-down enterprise products, but with a purpose-built platform and a service model designed from the ground up for organizations that cannot sustain a dedicated 24/7 security team on their own.

Our approach is grounded in original peer-reviewed research, validated at national scale, and built to get better with every client we serve.

Five Layers of Protection

A complete security architecture for organizations that need enterprise-grade protection without enterprise-level complexity or cost. Each layer is designed to work independently or as part of a fully integrated program.

01
Layer 1
Foundational Attack Surface & Human Risk

Comprehensive mapping of your organization's digital exposure — every endpoint, application, cloud asset, and network entry point — combined with targeted security awareness programs that reduce the human risk factor that attackers exploit most.

02
Layer 2
Advanced White-Box Penetration Testing

Full-scope adversarial simulation using advanced techniques that go beyond standard penetration testing frameworks. We test your defenses the way real attackers do — methodically, persistently, and with full knowledge of your environment to find what others miss.

03
Layer 3 — Flagship
Liberty Cognitive Core

AI-driven Security Orchestration, Automation and Response platform that operates continuously without requiring a dedicated analyst team around the clock. Detects, prioritizes, and responds to threats in real time — learning your environment as it protects it.

Layer 4
Secure-by-Design Emerging Tech Integration

Security architecture for AI deployments, cloud migrations, IoT integrations, and emerging technology adoption. We ensure that new capabilities are built with security embedded from the start — not added as an afterthought after a breach has already occurred.

05
Layer 5 — Strategic Capability
National-Grade Datacenter & Backbone Engineering

For organizations building or securing critical infrastructure at scale, LibertyShield brings a capability that goes beyond managed services: senior advisory and hands-on architecture for national-grade datacenter and network backbone deployments. It is not a productized service. It is the expertise of someone who has built this infrastructure, seen it tested under real operational conditions, and knows what it takes to make it resilient.

The Liberty Cognitive Core

The Liberty Cognitive Core is LibertyShield's AI-driven Security Operations platform — a cloud-native system that automates the most labor-intensive layer of security operations: alert triage. Built on peer-reviewed original research and powered by proprietary AI, it does not rely on pre-written playbooks or known attack signatures. It learns from your environment, adapts to your threat landscape, and gets smarter over time.

Always one step ahead — detects anomalous behavior the moment it appears, including zero-day attacks that no existing rulebook could have anticipated
Scales to your organization automatically — calibrates to your size, sector, and volume without custom engineering
Acts before you are called — contains verified threats immediately, without waiting for an analyst to be available
Built to resist the attacks that target AI itself — formally tested against adversarial manipulation designed to blind security platforms
Tailored to every size — enterprise-grade protection calibrated to your organization, because security should not be a privilege reserved for the largest budgets

Grounded in Original Research

The Liberty Cognitive Core is not built on repackaged vendor technology. Its foundations are documented in peer-reviewed research published in indexed academic journals — available for independent review.

Marcelo Silva de Araujo

Marcelo is a Computer Engineer and AI and Cybersecurity professional with over a decade of experience building security infrastructure for some of the largest organizations across national financial institutions, healthcare networks, and critical logistics operations.

Before founding LibertyShield, he served as a principal architect during the foundational period of a security operations platform recognized as a Leader by ISG Provider Lens for six consecutive years. His work has been recognized internationally, including as a keynote speaker at technology forums across multiple continents, and novel AI solutions developed under his leadership have been featured in Forbes Tech.

"I built this company because the gap between the threats organizations face and the protection they can access is not a technology problem. It is a design problem. We can fix that — and we should."

Marcelo is an IEEE Senior Member, an active researcher whose work is published in peer-reviewed journals, and a mentor to the next generation of STEM professionals through the Open Avenues Foundation. He is based in Lowell, Massachusetts, and believes that protecting critical infrastructure and investing in the people who will defend it are two sides of the same commitment.
